Sustainable development

Our organization focuses on the agro-industrial development of plants, the diversification of agricultural production and the facilitation of market access and commercialization of products with a high market-potential.

The feminine shift

The collaborative character of women is one of the most effective solutions for attaining sustainable economic development and overcoming economic crises. Women’s associationism is based on production units that build on key market wealth sectors and the creation of women’s business networks.

Objective

Prima Planta Federation aims to redefine rural women’s entrepreneurship as a tool for economic development and growth and poverty reduction and for promoting gender equality in market structures.

Economy

The Government of Senegal has officially recognized the importance of women’s active participation for improving the nation’s integration in world economic structures and for the development of the private sector. Women represent 52% of the population, 75% of the rural population and 85% of agricultural labour force.
